7月18日 Geboren !Na 38 weken wachten is vannacht mijn dochter Liesbeth geboren. Fantastisch!
Moeder en dochter stellen het prima, en ook papa heeft de bijhorende emoties goed doorstaan. Liesbeth mat bij de geboorte 48cm en woog 2,970 kg. Wat een wolk van een baby ! Kan er iets mooiers zijn??
Foto's vind je in het fotoalbum. 4月18日 Driving againSome 8 weeks ago I ruptured my achilles tendon during my second competition match of the season. Gone my ambitions for the rest of the year (the doctor predicts I can resume training in october/november).
But even worse: after the operation, I walked around in a plaster for 2,5 weeks, followed by some 6 weeks in a synthetic version that holds the middle between a ski-boot and the right heel of Robocop.
Conclusion: no car driving for me.
Considering the fact that I'm used to driving 80.000+ km every year, you may think that I would be happy to be carried about by my wife, colleagues, family, etc but no such thing: driving yourself is much more fun.
To make a long story short: I'm driving my car myself again and very happy to do so! 5月24日 MarriageThis weekend, I got married! After more than 1 year of preparations, we were very happy to give our YES word in front of all our family, friends and collegues. It was a great day, and we were very lucky that the weather was on our side. The sun shone when we were taking photographs (in Ipres), when going to the church and when coming out of the church. Only 15 minutes after we left the church it rained, so that's what I call "lucky timing". After that we had a great reception, dinner and evening (night) party at the Klokhof (http://www.klokhof.be). We had lot's of nice reactions off the people who attended, so thanks to 't Klokhof for doing a great job. In my photo album, you can find a few impressions of this grand day.
